About Sunehara
Sunehara Safaris was born from a deep-rooted passion for the wild and its complexities. Kahlil Gibran wrote that “work is love made visible,” a quote that steers our mission and vision at Sunehara Safaris. The tourism sector in Namibia displays love for both indigenous groups and wildlife protection with the intention of connecting visitors to something greater than the task at hand.
It is a core belief of the team and associated partners of Sunehara Safaris, that it is our collective responsibility to improve the wellbeing of the communities we live in, environment and people alike.

Corporate Social Investment
Our Goal: Supporting Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centres
At Sunehara Safaris, our commitment to responsible tourism goes beyond offering luxury safaris. We believe that responsible tourism plays a critical role in preserving the environment, empowering local communities, and safeguarding the rich cultural heritage of Namibia. As a new and growing company, we are deeply invested in making a positive impact on the communities where we operate. One of the key pillars of our Corporate Social Investment (CSI) program will be to support Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres in the local communities. By focusing on ECD, we aim to contribute to the long-term growth and well-being of Namibia’s children, their families, and the broader society, while fostering sustainable development.
1. Establishing Partnerships with Local ECD Centres
As part of our CSI efforts, Sunehara Safaris is committed to forming strong partnerships with local ECD centres, particularly in rural and underserved areas. By providing support in the form of financial aid, resources, and infrastructure, we aim to uplift these centres and enhance the quality of early childhood education available to local children. These partnerships will enable us to directly impact the lives of young learners, giving them the foundation they need for a better future.
2. Sponsoring ECD Teacher Training Programs
We believe that well-trained educators are critical to the success of ECD programs. Sunehara Safaris plans to sponsor and facilitate teacher training programs that equip local ECD teachers and caregivers with the skills they need to foster a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. By investing in the development of these educators, we empower them to provide high-quality care and education to the children in their communities, ensuring a lasting positive impact.
3. Providing Educational Materials and Resources
Access to quality educational materials is essential for the growth and development of young children. Our CSI program will include providing much-needed resources such as books, learning aids, toys, and stationery to ECD centres. We are committed to incorporating sustainable and eco-friendly materials to ensure that our contributions align with our commitment to environmental responsibility.
4. Investing in Infrastructure and Facilities
Sunehara Safaris understands the importance of creating safe and healthy learning environments for young children. As part of our CSI program, we will invest in the improvement of infrastructure at local ECD centres, including building or renovating classrooms, playgrounds, and other essential facilities. Additionally, we will focus on providing access to clean water, sanitation, and energy-efficient solutions such as solar power, contributing to both child development and environmental sustainability.
5. Supporting Health and Nutrition Programs
The health and well-being of children are fundamental to their ability to learn and thrive. To support this, Sunehara Safaris will work to provide resources for school feeding programs, health screenings, and access to clean drinking water at the ECD centres we partner with. By addressing the nutritional and health needs of the children, we ensure they are better prepared for success in their early education journey.
6. Creating Guest Volunteer Opportunities
As part of our mission to create meaningful travel experiences, Sunehara Safaris will offer our guests the chance to engage directly with local ECD centres. Guests will have the opportunity to volunteer their time, whether by reading to children, assisting teachers, or participating in small community projects as well as facilitate monetary donates to reach different centres. Together, this will not only provide much-needed support to the centres but also fosters a deeper connection between our guests and the communities they visit, enriching their safari experience.
7. Facilitating Parental and Community Engagement
Strong community involvement is key to the success of any ECD initiative. We plan to support programs that engage parents and community members in ECD activities, including workshops on early childhood development, health, and nutrition. By empowering parents and communities with knowledge and resources, we help ensure that children receive consistent support at home and beyond the classroom.
8. Monitoring and Evaluating Impact
At Sunehara Safaris, we believe in continuous improvement and accountability. We will establish mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the impact of our support for ECD centres, ensuring that our contributions are making a tangible difference in the lives of the children and communities we serve. Regular assessments will allow us to refine our initiatives and ensure that we are maximizing our positive impact.
Responsible Tourism for a Better Future
At Sunehara Safaris, we recognize the critical role that responsible tourism plays in preserving Namibia’s stunning natural environment, uplifting local communities, and safeguarding its rich cultural heritage. Through our commitment to supporting ECD centres, we are taking actionable steps to ensure that tourism directly benefits the people and places that make Namibia extraordinary. By contributing to early childhood development, we help build the foundation for a brighter, more sustainable future for Namibia’s children, communities, and environment.
Supporting ECD centres is a natural extension of our broader commitment to responsible tourism and community development. Through these initiatives, we aim to make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of the youngest members of Namibia’s communities, while creating meaningful experiences for our guests. Together, we can foster a future where both people and nature thrive, ensuring that Namibia’s rich heritage is protected for generations to come.
